International Exhibition on Digital Agriculture and Organic Products (D-AGROTECH 2017) will be held at Phu Tho Indoor Sports Stadium, No. 1 Lu Gia, Ward 15, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City from July 14th to July 16th in 2017. Organized by Asia Trade Fair and Business Promotion Joint Stock Company (ATFA) and under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Assembly General of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Digital Agriculture Club; the exhibition is expected to have the participation of 150 enterprises with over 200 booths on display and attract more than 50,000 visitors in 3 days.
In recent years, the production and consumption of clean and safe food have become a trend in many developed countries. In Vietnam, there are 5,000 enterprises boldly invest in agriculture on a total of 13.8 million farm households with 78 million farm lands. However, the proportion of safe product chains is still low, reaching just 4,000 (until 2016). The strength of Vietnam is the vast agricultural land residue with golden population structure of over 92 million people (According to MARD). Moreover, Vietnam is still on top of exporting countries in the world such as rice, pepper, fish …; this can be considered as a bright point of Vietnam’s agricultural industry. However, these developments are not worth the potential of our country. In response to the question “How to develop the Digital Agriculture and Organic Products Industry in order to meet the needs of domestic consumers and export?”, First, it is needed to have a prestige Open forum for enterprises to exchange experience, introduce and advertise branding of products and services; search and transfer machines, technology solutions, technology transfer, investment promotion. On the other hand, it is needed for enterprises to approach and expand domestic and foreign consumption markets through direct meetings and connecting with wholesale and retail distribution networks, importing partners and prospective investors in Food Sector; encouraging and motivating a healthy and practical market development for businesses producing clean food…
Facing the urgent needs of the consumption market, D-AGROTECH 2017 exhibition is organized to enhance the opportunities for trading and developing market, sharing experience among enterprises as well as organizations operating on digital agriculture industry. The exhibition will also create favorable conditions for consumers to access and experience clean and safe agricultural products, as well demonstrate their determination in supporting Vietnam Government’s policies and guidelines for sustainable development on Digital Agriculture Industry.
